SEKKISEI has been conducting its SAVE the BLUE project to save the endangered coral reefs in Okinawa prefecture since 2009. In 2019, we also started reforestation in the Tohoku region.
Through the project, a total of 17,978 coral polyps have been planted over the last twelve years (115,335,929 cm2 in total: approx. 30.8 times the size of a 25 m regulation-size pool), expanding the coral forests of Okinawa in Japan. Also, 418 trees total have been planted in the last two years.
